What defines the music of Bishop & Mulholland? Cheeky and prodigious synth lines that replay in your head; lyrics that touch the imagination as much as the intellect; vocals that rasp and trip and song structure that is both quirky and satisfying. Where did the name "Bishop & Mulholland" come from? The name was formed some time ago. It refers to the twin substances of man- body and soul; with one name meant to evoke the idea of our souls- Bishop and the other, the idea of our bodies- Mulholland. What genre of music is it? Trip-hop; big beat; electronica; take your pick. I like to use the moniker "electro soul" or "digital pop" to give people an idea of both the vocal nature of the music as well as the strongly electronic feel. |
